Full Time Imam - Job Details
Islamic Center of Pflugerville is seeking a full-time Imam who will InshAllah uplift the spiritual state of our community. The candidate should be married, hafiz-e-quran, and a Alim. Preferred to have an Ifta degree. He should be self-motivated to take initiative create programs based on community needs and bring correct and effective knowledge to our children, adults, and provide counseling to individuals and families.
Alhumdullilah, Pflugerville is a growing community with young families around our new Masjid. Most of the attendees are employees at IT companies and well educated and have a concern about deen for their children and families.
Duties, Responsibilities and Expectations:

Leading Fajr, Maghrib, Isha ( with higher attendance )

Deliver Daily Khatirah ( 5 min max ) after Fajr and Isha

Lead Jummu’ah Salah
-
Teach Maktab for 4 days ( Mon-Thur )

Deliver weekly halaqahs for adults ( Recurring programs on Qur’an and Hadith, Seerah and Fiqh )

Monthly Family gathering Lecture ( general topics of benefit to our community )

Lead Taraweeh prayers with other huffaz

1 Day off per week ( Saturday or Sunday )

Dedicated Imam hours for community
Benefits and Compensation:

Base Salary – Competitive Salary

Contract Renewal - Renewed yearly on mutually agreeable terms on annual basis.

Salary Increase – Will be considered at the end of contract based on Islamic Center’s financial status and the satisfactory job.

Bonus Pay – After completion of one year, % of the base salary, as a lump sum payment, between the 27th of Ramadan and Eid al Fitr

Vacation / Weekly Day Off - Entitled to three (3) weeks annual paid vacation

Health Insurance - Will not provide medical coverage.
